Maritime Engine Room Simulator On-line (MERSol)
Maritime Engine Room Simulator on-line project develops study units and a new web-based application for engine room simulators.
The basis of the MERSol Project
The Basis of the MERSol project deals with creating modern and functional marine engine room training modules and their accompanied assessment modules.
The study modules will serve as teaching material for new students and each module will be followed by a specific assessment module, including multiple choice questions on the module topic.
The modules produced can also be used to improve shipboard knowledge and for in-service training, both on deck and on the engine side.

The aim of the project
The project's specific aim is to develop a marine engine room simulator online system, to facilitate a high tech and modern online learning environment.
Another aim is to collect best practices for onsite training programs, to further develop true to life scenarios.
